Midleton and Cork

Today we went to three different places. The first one was the Jameston Distillery in Midleton. We got to learn about the history of the company and how they make their whiskey.

At the end of the tour we got to try a cocktail with a shot of their whiskey in it. It was delicious!

Love these girls :)

We then went to Cork, where we got to go to the English Market. We also were wandering around the city a little.

Cork

The English Market

There was a small park across the street from the market that was really pretty.

While we were in Cork, we went to University Cork College. It was gorgeous!!

The entrance

We couldn't believe this was a college campus

There were roses everywhere, and the were much bigger than any roses we'd seen before.

I love all of the doors here :)

So the good news is that we found Hogwarts.....

The bad news is that the dementors were there!

I think I found where I want to go to get my PhD!!

We have just been hanging out and getting ready for class tomorrow since we got back. Today has been great!!

  1. Jameson is awesome. Can't do that anymore, though. It really must be almost more than one can comprehend. The beauty is overwhelming. I hope you have a great time just don't let school get in the way of your education.

  2. I did not mean that the Jameson was more than one can comprehend, I meant the beauty of the country. Everything looks so green and lush.

    1. I definitely enjoyed it. I'm convinced this is the prettiest place in the world. It really is overwhelming- it doesn't seem real most of the time. I am always blown away and left feeling very small :) Fortunately, my professor isn't giving us too much work because she wants to go see Ireland and not spend our time staring at text books!
